By downloading, installing, or using the ScanAI mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and ScanAI ("we," "our," or "us").
ScanAI is a mobile document scanning application that provides the following services:
You must be at least 13 years old to use ScanAI. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
ScanAI does not require account registration. The App provides optional biometric and passcode security features to protect your locally stored documents. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any passcode you set within the App.
You agree to use ScanAI only for lawful purposes. You shall NOT use the App to:
6.1 AI Usage Limits: The App includes daily usage limits for AI features (translation, summarization, question answering). These limits may be adjusted at our discretion without prior notice.
6.2 AI Accuracy: AI-generated content including translations, summaries, and answers are provided "as-is" and may contain inaccuracies. You should not rely solely on AI output for critical, legal, medical, or financial decisions. Always verify important information independently.
6.3 Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any content you scan, process, translate, or share using the App. We do not review or monitor user-generated content.
7.1 App Ownership: ScanAI, including its design, code, features, and brand assets, is the intellectual property of ScanAI and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
7.2 Your Content: You retain full ownership of all documents, images, and text you scan or create using the App. We make no claim of ownership over your content.
7.3 License to Use: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal and professional purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Your use of ScanAI is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is zero for the free version).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScanAI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App is immediately revoked. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScanAI operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ScanAI regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
