• Scanned Documents: When you use the scanning feature, images are captured and processed locally on your device. We do not upload or store your scanned documents on our servers.
• Text Content: Text extracted via OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is processed on your device using Google ML Kit. The extracted text may be sent to our AI service provider for translation, summarization, or analysis when you explicitly request these features.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device model, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage statistics may be collected to improve app performance and user experience. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) unless voluntarily provided for support
• Location data
• Contact lists or address books
• Browsing history
• Financial or payment information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
• Process your document scanning, editing, and AI-assisted features
• Provide AI-powered translation, summarization, and text analysis when you request it

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage: All scanned documents, images, and processed files are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain servers that store your personal documents.

4.2 AI Processing: When you use AI features (translate, summarize, ask questions), the relevant text content is sent to our AI service provider via encrypted HTTPS connection. This data is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored by the AI provider.

4.3 Security Measures: The App offers biometric authentication and passcode protection to prevent unauthorized access to your scanned documents. Data transmitted to external services uses TLS/SSL encryption.

5. Third-Party Services

ScanAI integrates the following third-party services:

• AI Language Model Service: For text translation, summarization, and question answering. Text content is sent via encrypted connection and processed in real-time without permanent storage.

• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (you can delete all app data by uninstalling the App)

9. Data Retention

Since all document data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over data retention. You can delete individual scans or all data at any time. Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device.

When you use AI features, text data may be processed by servers located in different countries. All transfers are protected by TLS/SSL encryption to ensure data security during transit.
